Gloucester Spiritual Direction Trust

The Trust was established in 2021 as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation with the Charities Commission Its key responsibility is to uphold the local ecumenical tradition and manage all aspects of spiritual direction in Gloucestershire and surrounding areas under one single umbrella alongside:

  • helping those seeking a director from the ecumenical register of spiritual directors of whom there are currently 116 registered
  • training those interested in becoming spiritual directors (A Companion’s Way Course LIVE LINK)
  • offering continuing personal development to current directors to meet new needs and standards
  • arranging supervision – and offering continuing training to supervisors
  • building a sense of community and belonging among directors - which has in the past been experienced as a ministry ‘on the edge’
